May 30:

Elder sharing ecological knowledge with the Land and Resources Officer.

Wilderness Lily's Nature Count: 1 black bear, 1 doe, 1 woodpecker, 4 beavers, 2 frogs, many horses, many cows, countless mosquito bites.

May 31:

Start line.

Running at the track before work.

June 1:

Horses.

Spotted this mum and her calf during our wagon ride.

June 2:

Treaty Land Entitlements.

Day four and the mapping project continues. After work Emily and I went for milkshakes in Fort Vermilion and sat along the river bank until a beaver approached.

June 3:

Fill a bag for $5.

One of our supervisors brought Emily and I to La Crete for Bag Day, and their famous pizza.

June 4:

My first 5k run.

After the run, our team had brunch at the Flamingo before heading to Chateh. That evening we tried to start a game of baseball but were only joined by a police officer. Fortunately, he was nice and so we invited him over for dinner.

June 5:

Drinking mate at the Chinchaga River.

The four of us slept in and had brunch in the backyard then spent the day at the Chinchaga River before Emily and I drove home. In the evening we went fishing with some locals at the Old Crossing.
