May 16:

Fresh Jackfish for dinner courtesy of a Local.

Wilderness Lily's Nature Count: 3 mosquito bites, 2 beavers, 1 black bear, 1 doe, many cows.

May 17:

Smoky sunsets.

Emily and I went for a walk after dinner and as the sunset lingered we could clearly see both the sun and moon in the sky. The sun does not fully set until midnight this time of the year.

May 18:

First Nation Solar Power Summit.

Pictured above is Emily and I with the CEO of Green Arrow and one of their solar panels. Green Arrow, is a First Nation Solar Power Corporation from Montana First Nation.

May 19:

Historic sightseeing.

Fort Vermilion resides along the beautiful Peace River, it has many leisure trails and tourist sites. Emily and I hope to camp along the river bank once the fire ban is lifted.

May 20:

Fending off a wild animal.

Perfect weather for packing and delivering food baskets. Emily and I were able to meet many community members who do not frequent the Band Office.

May 21:

Dream Team.

Brenda and Kavya, fellows from Chateh, and Matt, a fellow from Pangnirtung '15 invited Emily and I to a Hand Games Tournament and a trip to Hutch Lake.

May 22:

Happy Birthday!

Emily and I were invited to a Local's 60th birthday party. Fortunately, our chocolate banana cake was well received.
